History Of Solar Panels Plus

In 1979, Philco Italiana ("PIT"), one of the largest manufacturers of appliances in Italy, developed the world's first evacuated tube solar collector to convert solar energy for use in domestic water heating. Due to the low cost of crude oil at the time, solar technology was not received with great enthusiasm in the European consumer market; thus the management of Philco Italiana decided to put the idea of solar thermal technology on hold and reintroduce the technology once oil prices reached a higher price.

The chairman of Solar Panels Plus ("SPP"), Mr. Moh Koochekzadeh, was the Chairman and CEO of Philco Italiana, previously a subsidiary of Ford Motor Company, and Imperial S.A., at the time of the development of the world's first solar thermal system. The technology developed by Philco Italiana was later transferred to Ireland to an entity which would become Thermomax Technologies.

With the continuing surges in oil prices globally and the ever-increasing demand for this limited commodity, marketing experts worldwide unanimously agree that the cost of crude oil and consequently the cost of heating will continue to rise in the future. Demand for the limitless supply of free solar energy is also on the rise due to its ability to reduce not only heating costs for consumers, but also harmful environmental emissions associated with traditional water heating methods, as the world struggles to meet its challenges against climate change and global warming.
